It is different from the common "mustard pickles"
Mustard pickled small eggplant is a popular pickle that can be found in supermarkets, but please note that our "Miyako Nishikimi Rinzuke Karashi Flavored Moginasu" is a little different from those.
As the name suggests, our mustard-flavored product is a mustard-flavored version of Moginasu Miyakonishikimi Rin-zuke. Once the ``Moginasu'' was completed as Narazuke, we put a little more effort into it.
The lees around it are the ``mirin lees'' that come out when mirin is squeezed, and used to be commonly referred to as ``kobore plum'' and were loved as a snack. This is a blend of Japanese mustard, Western mustard, sugar, etc. in our unique ratio, and then pickled eggplant Narazuke again.
The mustard lees is made so that it can be eaten with eggplant, so please enjoy it with eggplant as you like.
Popular for tea and as an accompaniment to alcohol.
It goes well with rice, but it's more popular with customers as an accompaniment to tea or alcohol. The sweetness of mirin lees and the flavor of mustard make it a perfect match.
Also, unlike regular Narazuke, this product is popular because it can be eaten straight from the bag.
By the way, the "cucumber version" of this product is sold in limited quantities for three times each year: during the cherry blossom season, during the Gion Festival, and at the end of the year. If you like this product, we would appreciate it if you would consider it as well.
